The Waimatā-Pakarae area

We're developing the plan for the Waimatā-Pakarae catchment area. This will also include us engaging with mana whenua and communities for their vision for the waterways. Once we've gathered all the information on key values, we'll start developing a plan that will balance, protect or enhance those values.

Waterways in this catchment area include:

  • Waimatā River
  • Pakarae River
  • Waiomoko River
  • Pouawa River
  • Turihaua Stream
  • Hamanatua Stream
  • Wainui Stream
  • Kopuawhakapata Stream
