At a meeting in August, Council adopted amendments to the Local Alcohol Policy (LAP) and the policy came into effect on 26 August.

At the time councillors adopted the revised LAP, they asked for the policy in relation to the sensitive sites provision to go back out to the community to ask their views on the sensitive sites rule.

At this stage we want to know if you're happy with that rule, or if not what are your views, concerns or suggestions?

What is the sensitive sites rule?

The sensitive sites rule prevents applications for or granting of new tavern (including nightclub) licences within 150m of a sensitive site. See Section 3.1 (Location and Density of Licensed Premises) of the Local Alcohol Policy
