We want your help to develop a plan to manage and improve our public urban stormwater system that Council manages.

The stormwater integrated catchment management plan

The plan will assess the urban network of public stormwater assets, including pipes, manholes and open drains managed by Council. It will examine issues caused by rainwater runoff from hard surfaces in urban areas and identify the best ways to manage and improve the stormwater network.

It will outline the infrastructure improvements and maintenance needed to reduce urban flooding and minimise impacts on waterways over time.

Potential solutions may include upgrading pipes and drainage channels to better handle runoff, as well as implementing actions like street sweeping and the use of treatment wetlands to reduce pollution.
